Here is the full translation of the Zack 1977 #20 Space: 1999 comic, which contains an adaptation of the combined Breakaway and Earthbound episodes. Interestingly, the opening scene from Earthbound that occurs in Koenig's conference room is now used as the conclusion of Breakaway.

This first Zack comic episode adaptation maintains practically all of the dialog and scene descriptions from the show - and therefore requires numerous small panels per page to contain all of this information in such a short number of pages. The few Eagle drawings are crude, and obviously taken from publicity stills. Later issues (see 1978 #16, A Matter of Life and Death) have highly abridged dialog and quick scene descriptions, which leads to a much more simplified layout. Also, in the later issues, numerous photos of the Eagle plastic model kit become available for tracing by the artist, which greatly improves their depictions.
